For the Baseball Hobbyist . . . Card #29 - EDDIE COLLINS, Philadelphia Athletics from the Diamond Classics I set issued in 1982 by Big League Collectibles, Inc. Increasingly popular among collectors and serious baseball fans desiring vintage replicas of their favorites are the cards issued by Big League Collectibles, Inc. (or BLC). Big League Collectibles issued cards from 1982 to 1985 providing full-color, limited edition cards at reasonable prices. All cards were produced from original, handpainted photographs on thick, white card stock reminiscent of the popular 1933-1956 classic cards issued by Goudey, National Chicle, Gum Incorporated, Bowman, Topps and others. Just 10,000 impressions of each card were produced in 2-1/2" by 3-3/4" format (same size as 1953-1955 Bowman). Cards of this size fit best in 8-pocket collector sheets.
