Description
Set of 19 Carl Heidtmann West German carving gouges. High quality West German steel gouge, similar Hirsch, Kirschen, Bracht and Dastra. Made in Wuppertal, Germany, probably during the 70s or 80s. These were probably imported by Georg Keilhofer at the Frankenmuth Woodcarving Studio Michigan. These are intermediate size gouges, similar in size to Pfeil "D" series gouges (about 8" long). There's another set of slightly longer Heidtmann gouges I have for sale that are un-polished. These have a nice range of sweeps and widths. The widest pictured are about 12mm. A couple of 3 and 5 gouges, through some deep 9 gouges, a 8mm and 2mm 12 v-gouges, a narrow skew chisel, a double bevel flat chisel, a veiner, and a short bent gouge. A good set for detail carving. Excellent condition and sharp. They come in a nicely made vinyl tool roll with slots for 30 gouges. Feel free to ask for more pictures or details.
