Welcome to our site.
Which concentrates on snakes of the genus Corallus. This is a group of beautiful tree boas from the tropical region of South America. However, much of the information on here also applies to other types of snakes from the tropical rain forests. We realise this site may put forward more questions than answers and subject for discussion. We hope, however, it will stimulate your interest in these wonderful snakes and encourage you to find out more about them. If you have any comments or questions, please contact us. In this way we can all learn.
We want to thank the following people:
Leo Janssen, “my brother” for mutually comparing notes and animals.
Hans Kronbichler, for his translation of the site into German “ausgezeignet Hansel”.
Guy Pettigrew, the “Annulatus lover” for checking and correcting the English translation.
Marja Kik, veterinary surgeon specialised in reptiles, for answering our questions and medical support.
See you, Frits and Gerdine.
